In this module, you will cover some Kotlin basics that can be used as foundation knowledge in the coming modules.

But before we can dive into that topic, we need to start with the basics of Kotlin functions—for example, how they are declared, how they treat parameters and a couple of other details. That’s what you will cover in this module.

In this module, you will study about the Interfaces, Classes, Data Classes, Visibility Modifiers, Access Modifiers and Object Declarations in Kotlin.

In this module, you will get back to the discussion of functions, but a different kind of function—the kind that supports functional programming.

In this module, you will take a look at arrays, collections, and some of the functions within the Kotlin collections framework.

In this module, we’ll look at the three main types of errors you might encounter and what kind of tools or techniques could help cope.

Making data durable means storing data in one form or another. You can store data in a couple of ways. Two of them are SharedPreferences and Internal Storage. In this module, you will learn about both of these ways of storing data.

This course includes eight assignment projects which will hone your skills as per current industry standards and prepare you for your future career needs. The 2 industry-based certification projects will test your ability to work with real-world data set. Your certification project is an opportunity for you to explore an interesting problem of your choice in the context of a real-world data set. Projects can be done by you as an individual, or in teams of 2-4 students. Educators and Academic Enablers will consult with you on your ideas, but of course the final responsibility to define and execute an interesting piece of work is yours. Your project will be worth 20% of your final class grade, and will have 4 deliverables: Proposal: 1 page (10%), Midway Report: 3-4 pages (20%), Final Report: 5-6 pages (40%), Poster Presentation: (30%).

In this course, you will learn about scenario-based examples and have hands-on experience to be able to utilize the tools and prompts.

The total duration of this program is 120 hours divided over a period of 7-8 weeks.
